The Vermont State Police issued a press release on August 13 announcing the DUI checkpoints will be in effect in Orange County, VT. The DUI checkpoints are scheduled for the final two weeks of August. The DUI checkpoints will be jointly operated by the Vermont State Police and local law enforcement in Orange County. The goal of these checkpoints is to remove drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs and to enforce seatbelt safety regulations.
